Meteor Showers in 2012

Meteor Shower
An event when number of stars appear to  be radiating from one point in the sky. Meteor Shower is actually an icy debris shed by a comet and when its shed around earth, we get to see it.
It can be seen with naked eyes but the weather and climate conditions are supposed to be appropriate to make it visible for you. A clear and dark sky will make your view.

Quadrantid Meteor Shower
The first Meteor Shower as predicted by astronomers occured on Wednesday the 4th January, 2012 between 3a.m. - 5a.m. with approximately 100 stars falling per hour. Many people in areas with clear weather and climate conditions were able to see it.. more like enjoy it.

Coming Up Meteor Shower Events In This Year 
1. Lyrid Meteor Shower in April - Lyrid Meteor shower will peak up on 21st April, 2012 with approx 10-20 stars falling per hour at night.
2. Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower in May - This one will be on night of May 5, 2012 with approx. 10 stars falling per hour.
3. Porseids Meteor Shower (The Biggest one of 2012) - It will be the Biggest Meteor Shower of 2012 happening on 13th August, 2012 with approx. 100 stars falling an hour with Morning Crescent.
4.  Orionids Meteor Shower in October - This meteor shower will occur on 21st October's night with one star falling every couple of minutes.
5. Leonids Meteor Shower in November - Leonids meteor shower is known for its best views and it appears with 1000s stars falling an hour after every 33 years. 2012 isn't gonna be an year for that kind of meteor shower and it will occur on 17th November, 2012 with Evening Crescent.
6. Geminids Meteor Shower in December - The last meteor shower of 2012 will be on 13th December, 2012 around 9-12p.m. with an average of one star falling every 30 seconds.

Rose Bowl Game 2012



Rose Bowl stadium the one known for its legendary time in College Football Tournament which started with ups and downs with it's first one-sided game in 1902 between Michigan and Stanford where Michigan scored 49-0 against Stanford but finally by this time the stadium has just upwards to go for with in the current time where the tough competetions are taking place in the stadium like the coming up event of 2nd Jan, 2012 (5 p.m. Live) - Wisconsin vs. Oregon

Oregon Ducks vs. Wisconsin Badgers




Both the highest scoring teams with the average of 44 points are gonna make an interesting event of 2012. Badgers are bringing quarterback Russell Wilson and Heisman Trophy winner Montee Ball whereas Oregon has LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner. Technically, that's just the offense which both the teams are good at. What they need to keep up with is the defense. A defense will make a good performance which everybody is anticipating for.


Outcome/ Result
The stadium got filled with around 91,500 people. 
Oregon took its first Rose Bowl Victory in 95 years with 45-38. Both the teams acted with a great offense but Oregon's defense was as good as needed especially when the last four minutes were left on the clock.

Virginia Tech Shooting - Two Found Dead


This Thursday, a police officer was shot dead during the routine traffic stop in Coliseum Parking lot near McComas Hall. According to the witnesses, the gunman wasn't in the car that was pulled over by the policeman. The gunman after firing, fled towards the another parking lot - Cage near Duck Pond Drive where police recovered another dead body. Witnesses couldn't identify the second dead body (found in the parking lot). The campus with students and staff inside, was kept on the lockdown till 4:30 p.m.
Witnesses reported that the suspect was a white male wearing gray sweat pants, maroon hoodie, gray hat and backpack.


History
There has been a shooting in Virginia Tech Campus before in 2007 killing 33 people and known to be as one of the most deadliest shooting in the history of United States.

Kepler 22b - A New Planet in Habitable Zone


That's right! Just a few days ago, NOAO (National Optical Astronomy Observatory) discovered the planet Kepler 21b and now this discovery of Kepler 22b which is pretty much located in the habitable zone is turning to be NASA's one of the biggest successes.

Kepler 22b - Characteristics
Color - Blue Tranquit
Radius - 2.4 times the earth's
Temperature - 72 degrees Fahrenheit
Distance From its' sun - 79 million miles
Completes the Orbit - 290 days
Distance from Earth - 600 light years (22 million years to reach)










As you can see the conditions are very much favourable for the planet to be habitable and in fact there's even a possibility of planet being already inhabited. However, even after its' color being blue scientists are not sure that whether it's liquid, solid or gas.


Comparison with Kepler 21b (which is not believed to be Habitable)
As you can see that Kepler 22b is a lot similar to earth. Kepler 21b was discovered last week and the major difference between these two is the temperature depending on their locations. Kepler 22b as stated, is located 79 million miles away from its' sun having quite a favourable temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit whereas Kepler 21b is located just around 3 miles away from the sun believed to be having around 2960 degrees Fahrenheit of temperature.
They are hoping to find more habitable planets within an year. Lets hope for the best.

Learn Your Dreams! - Facts You'd Wanna Know!


1. Number Of Dreams
You can have four to seven dreams in one night.

2. Every Animal Dreams Including Human Being
Studies have been done on many different animals, and they all show the same brain waves during dreaming sleep as humans. Watch a dog sleeping sometime. The paws move like they are running and they make yipping sounds as if they are chasing something in a dream.

3. Related to Your Thoughts
 
You dream about the things, you were thinking of just a moment before falling asleep.

4. Dreaming Only About The Things You already Know Of
Exactly as it says, you can only dream about the things you already know of because your mind can only relate the dreams to it's memory.

5. Recurring of the Same Dream
Many people are confused and wanna know that why do they dream the same dream again and again. The answer is pretty related to the 1st thing i wrote above. It's because you might have some issues with yourself/past/something else which keeps your mind unconscious and your mind being unconscious thinks about that particular reason/thing alot which is why the mind keeps interpreting it into your dreams.
The same reason for the people who try to quit the alcohol consumption dreaming themselves smoking/drinking.

6. Blind People Can Dream 
Blind people can dream and can see colored images in their dreams (Not the ones who are born blind). The people who are born blind may not see images but they can dream too involving the scenes of sound, touch and emotions.

7. You Don't Always Dream In Color
 
Blind or not, you don't always dream in color. Studies from 1915 through to the 1950s maintained that the majority of dreams were in black and white, but these results began to change in the 1960s. Today only 4.4% of the dreams of under-25 year-old are in black and white. Recent research has suggested that those changing results may be linked to the switch from black-and-white film and TV to color media.

8. Analysing Of Sounds You Sometimes Hear 
Your mind sometimes analyse the sounds coming from the reality and relate them to your dreams.
For Instance, if you're sleeping with your TV on tuned to some news channel telecasting the news about NASA, then you may start dreaming something related to science/space.

9. You Can't Remember More Than 10%
 
You forget 50% of your dream after 5 minutes of waking, and 90% after 10 minutes.

10. Effect Of Snoring
You don't dream when you're snoring because your mind constantly keeps hearing the same sound which making it almost impossible for it to process your dreams.

11. Dreams about The Gender of The Baby May be True
 
Alot of surveys proved to be right about the genders of the baby dreamt by pregnant women. Those surveys are mostly done by hypnotizing them. The predictions say that mothers perhaps somewhere deep inside of them know the gender of the baby. Though this is still not scientifically proved, so we say that 50% of the genders of the babies dreamt by the pregnant ladies are true.

12. Are Dreams Symbolic?
 
Well, some professionals believe that dreams are symbolic and others don't. I'm one of those who believes  that they're not symbolic. Reason: Due to the theory, they depend on our thoughts. So, if something ever happens in our life related to what we dreamt of, doesn't prove the dreams symbolic. It means that you dreamt of that thing because you wanted it to happen somewhere inside of you and that's exactly what your mind attempts to do later, sometimes even with the vibes.

13. Emotions
The most common emotion experienced in dreams is anxiety. Negative emotions are more common than positive ones.

14. Dissimilarity Of Dreams In Men And Women
Men tend to dream more about other men. Around 70% of the characters in a man’s dream are other men. On the other hand, a woman’s dream contains almost an equal number of men and women. Aside from that, men generally have more aggressive emotions in their dreams than the female lot.

15. Psychic Relation
 
It's been stated that people (especially children under 18) need to sleep for 8 hours. But many people showed symptoms like hallucinations, headache, irritation and lack of concentration even after eight hours of sleep but not being able to dream (awaken every-time they started dreaming)

16. Paralyzing
Your body is always paralyzed and not allowed to move during the time you're dreaming making it easy for the body to relax which also explains the above fact that how dreams prevent the psychic symptoms.

17. Precognitive Dreams

Results of several surveys across large population sets indicate that between 18% and 38% of people have experienced at least one precognitive dream and 70% have experienced déjà vu. The percentage of persons that believe precognitive dreaming is possible is even higher – ranging from 63% to 98%.

18. Feeling of An Orgasm
 
You can feel the orgasm if you're dreaming about something which makes you feel it in real life too. It isn't supposed to be mentioned because almost everybody knows that you can feel it even when you're thinking of something like that but just because I don't want anything to be left I'm writing this down too.

Forgot/Lost Your Car Key? Try Calling It!


Yup, you heard it! It's absolutely possible. But! I'd like to add that this may help sneakers but not really the stealers. If your car is RKE (Remote Key-less Entry) enabled and you've forgot your key at some place or if you have lost it and the spare keys are at home then this is really gonna save allot of time, money and work. What if i tell you that you don't have t walk home leaving your car at the spot, and you don't even have to call the service providers to unlock it remotely (Though they use the same technique) and you don't even have to ask anyone a favour of getting your spare keys to you.
This Is What You Do!
1. Call the person who has your spare RKE key/call the one who's on the spot, you lost your keys at.
2. Ask the person to point the RKE Key at his phone and press the unlock button and at the same time you have to stand close and point your phone at the car.
And there you have your car unlocked! now you don't have to walk or have someone else walk for you to retrieve your keys.

How It Works?!?!
Not many people know how it works. Some denies the possibility of unlocking a car like this because as we know that cell phones only convert the sound/voice into signals and transmits them. But, what I've found relating it to another scientifically proved theory of "standing/being located near a Cell Phone's Tower and talking too much on the phone may somewhere damage both your mind and ears" is that the cell phones when in a specific kind of good range of other signals other than sound may happen to accept and transmit them. And both the RKE system and phones work on the radio frequencies. RKE systems have frequencies from 315 mHz to 450 mHz. That's exactly why some people with very low frequency RKEs could not successfully unlock the doors. But it still is pretty much successful. Try it by yourselves!

NFL - Donovan McNabb Released - Is There a Claim?


The NFL player Donovan McNabb released by Minnesota Vikings on Thursday seems to be having no hope for claim among the three most expected teams - Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Houstan Texans.














Reason?
Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys were highly expected to put a claim on Donovann McNabb after the recent back injury of Jon Kitna because of which he's going to miss the third consecutive game on this Sunday at Arizona. But the Dallas Cowboys are not interested to sign McNabb as they're staying with Stephen McGee till Jon Kitna returns from his injury which they have been expecting to happen later this month in December.
Jerry Jones - Cowboys' General Manager's words on his weekly radio show this friday morning (KRLD - FM)- "Donovan has not really been in this system, so that's kind of where that is, and that's all I would say about that, You know what we think of Donovan McNabb. He's really had a great career and a lot of it has been against the Cowboys. I'll never forget the great run he made out here and then the throw he made for a touchdown that was memorable. But bottom line is, we think a lot of Stephen McGee. One of his attributes is his ability to be mobile and move around and throw on the run. That's McNabb's game, too. Where we are right now is, we've got a lot of confidence in Stephen."


Houstan Texans
The Texans reportedly aren't interested even though they're down to their third quarterback, rookie T.J. Yates. Houston signed Kellen Clemens and Jake Delhomme in the last two weeks.


Chicago Bears
Taking Chicago Bears in consideration, Donovan McNabb said that he'd really love to play with his hometown team but Chicago Bears seems to be having no interest for claiming the player.
The Bears may have lost quarterback Jay Cutler for the season with a broken hand. His replacement, Caleb Hanie, threw three interceptions in a 25-20 loss to the Raiders Sunday The Bears are 24th in the waiver order, meaning they'd have to hope that a lot of other teams don't need a veteran quarterback.
The expected places for McNabb have been eliminated. Houston doesn't seems to be interested. Dallas has said they won’t claim him. The Bears won’t bid on him. There seems to be hardly any scope of Donovan McNabb being cleared off the waivers by 3 p.m. CT but if he does he's assumed around $1 million remaining on his contract.
